Patient Advocacy & Healthcare Navigation for Individuals & Families

Our healthcare system can be complicated, confusing, and stressful to navigate. Whether you have just received a new diagnosis, are managing a chronic illness, transitioning into a new stage of life, or you have a loved one experiencing a medical crisis, there can be many challenges and time-consuming barriers that make it difficult to get the best medical care and make the right decisions for you or your loved one.

We Can Help.

Our board certified Patient Advocate with a nursing background understands the healthcare system and can help you get the care and support you need at any age. All services will be individually tailored to you and your specific situation.

Who We Help

We help many individuals and families who benefit from increased support in their healthcare journey:

  • Facing a health crisis, new diagnosis, hospitalization, surgery, or other stressful health situation.

  • Overwhelmed by acute or chronic illness.

  • Uncertain how to choose and/or understand a healthcare plan.

  • Unsure how to handle medical bills and insurance appeals.

  • Parents who need help advocating or coordinating care for their child or teenager with complex medical needs.

  • Senior adults, including “Solo Seniors”, who would like guidance and support in navigating life transitions and decisions.

  • Adult children and caregivers who feel overwhelmed and unsure how to get their aging parents the care and services they need.

We enjoy working with individuals of all ages and life stages, from prenatal diagnosis and pediatrics through older adult care and end of life.

How We Can Help
    • Discuss your concerns and goals in depth.

    • Collaborate with you to create a comprehensive plan to achieve your goals.

    • Create a personalized healthcare summary that includes a detailed medication list and chronological health history timeline.

    • All services are tailored to your specific needs, concerns, and goals.

    • Attend medical appointments with you to help ask questions, ensure that you and your provider are on the same page, and take detailed notes.

    • Visit you in the hospital and help communicate concerns to your hospital team.

    • Support effective communication between you, your family, and your healthcare team.

    • Coordinate care by scheduling appointments, assisting with referrals, and managing prescriptions.

    • Assist with preparing Advance Directives, such as a Living Will and/or a Power of Attorney for Health Care.

    • Provide support before, during, and after a hospital discharge and/or transition to home, skilled nursing, assisted living, or other facility. We will help get you settled into your new care setting and make sure you are set up with all of the appropriate follow up care.

    • Provide support during a life stage transition. We will partner with you to identify your needs, set goals, create a comprehensive plan, and manage the transition process. Our goal is to promote your safety, health, and peace of mind throughout the transition.

        • Senior adults who need to move to a new location that provides a higher level of care, such as assisted living or memory care.

What Our Clients Are Saying

“Ashley is one of the reasons I’m alive today. My family hired her when I was unconscious in the ICU. The ICU team told my family that there was nothing more they could do for me. Ashley helped my family get a second opinion from an ICU physician at one of the country’s best hospitals. She was also able to find a mistake in the hospital records which affected my care and treatment. Ultimately, I was able to pull through, but it has been a long journey. Ashley walked with me through the whole process, from the hospital to the skilled nursing facility and eventually home. She also helped me monitor my medical bills for several months afterward. Ashley is gentle and kind. She helped me understand my options and make wise decisions every step of the way. I am more than satisfied with all the help and guidance she has given me and my family. I highly recommend Ashley and her services.”
